Allergy & Asthma Proceedings Northwestern University Allergy-Immunology Syllabus 2019
This is the fourth edition of the Northwestern University Allergy-Immunology Syllabus, which we have written primarily for the residents and medical students, but also at a level appropriate for all allergy-immunology professionals-in-training. Allergic and immunologic diseases result in frequent visits to physicians’ offices as well as to urgent care and emergency departments. Asthma, food allergy, rhinitis, rhinosinusitis, anaphylaxis, and urticaria are the most common reasons for the visits. Food allergy prevalence has increased significantly in the past decades. New treatments for food allergy, including prevention strategies, are now available.
